The organisational position “Agrometereological data collection, processing and analysis” was established by Decree of the General Director n. 297 of 23.04.2019, within the Function Position (PF) "Marche Region Plant Protecion Service (Marche RPPS) and Agrometereology", and coordinates following activities:

• Agrometereological data collection and processing, database management, development of local short- and long-term weather forecasts addressed to the farming and rural sector;
  
  
• Study, experimentation, test and transfer of agrometereological innovations;
  
  
• Management of the regional weather stations network and of the Local agrometereological centers (CAL) to monitor the agro-phenological and epidemiological features of the main crops;
  
  
• Information editing and dissemination (weather bulletin and web site);
  
  
• Agrometeorological specialist advice for the NAP implementation (National Action Plan for the Sustainable Use of Plant Protection Products), in collaboration with the NNPO (Regional plant protection organization).
